"GREAT WINES ARE TO BE FOUND IN EVERY APPELLATION"
When William Kelley released his summary of 2019 Bordeaux in bottle, he started out by saying “The 2019 vintage has turned out brilliantly” and the best reds of the vintage “combine striking aromatic range with notable intensity and persistence of flavour”. When trying to relate the 2019s to wines from another vintage, Kelley suggests they “combine some of the attributes of 2009 with some of the attributes of 2010”. The quality of the vintage has led Neal Martin to question whether it surpasses the modern-day benchmark, 2016.
