Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, eldest son of Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her first husband Jacques Sereys has been officially named as successor to his mother as chairman of the supervisory board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA.
Philippe de Rothschild had been vice-chairman since 2006 and has been increasingly involved in running Chateaux Mouton Rothschild, Clerc Milon and d’Armailhac in Pauillac in recent years, as well as the family’s other wine concerns, including its involvement with Opus One in California, Almaviva in Chile and the Mouton Cadet brand.
Philippe de Rothschild, 51, is a graduate of Harvard Business School and worked as a mergers analyst at Lazard Bank in New York and as finance director of a large energy company before returning to the family wine estates.
