Description
Located just 7km from the ocean in Stellenbosch’s praised Heldenberg region, Anwilka is a wine estate that benefits from a beautiful climate and spectacular terroir. Its 40 hectares of vineyard comprise mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, with small plantings of Merlot. Established in 1990, this young estate was originally purchased by Hubert du Bouard (of Angelus fame), Lowell Jooste (former co-owner of Klein Constantia) and Bruno Prats (former owner of Cos d’Estournel). Since its first vintage in 2005, Anwilka have continued to make spectacular wines that are the envy of all of Stellenbosch.
