Description
Château Cantemerle is a wine estate in the Haut-Médoc appellation of the Bordeaux vineyards in France, in the commune of Macao and has existed at least since the 12th century. The wine produced here was the last estate to be classified as one of the eighteen Cinquièmes Crus in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. Their wines are characterized by rich, woody and fruity flavours that balance well and generally reach their peak between 8 and 20 years of age. The typical blend is a composition of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
