Description

CARO is a joint venture between the Catena family and Domaines Barons de Rothschild situated in the spectacular Argentinian province, Mendoza. The estate combines the Catena family’s passion for Malbec and their expertise in nurturing vineyards on high-altitude terroir, with Domaines Barons de Rothschild’s centuries-old knowledge of cultivating great Cabernet Sauvignon.

Its vineyards benefit from two terroirs: the high altitude Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley which sees high deserts that benefit from low night temperatures and intense rays of sun. The final blend is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels which are transported to Argentina from Pauillac.
