Description
Château le Gay is a Pomerol estate on the rise, who produce gorgeous wines made from a Merlot-dominant blend. Today their wines are highly concentrated to include a mixture of deep flavours and silky textures – as one would expect from a classic Pomerol. The ten hectares of vineyard are planted with c.90% Merlot and c.10% Cabernet Franc and exists just to the north of Pomerol’s plateau. In recent years their wines have received numerous high scores including 99 points from Robert Parker for their 2010 vintage. The château uses sustainable farming techniques and vinifies its wine in 100% new French oak barrels. It is best drank after at least 10-12 years of bottle ageing.
