Description
Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona is an estate situated in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, Tuscany. It is famous for its Brunello di Montalcino wines which have been well-received by critics and highly awarded.
The wine portfolio is led with three different Brunellos. The Pianrosso cuvée is sourced from the 12 hectare Pianrosso vineyard where it is fermented in stainless steel and glass-lined concrete vats and aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks. Similarly, the Pianrosso Santa Caterina d’Oro Riserva comes from the same vineyard, but spends longer in oak and bottle before release. Ciacchi Piccolomini’s ‘standard’ Annata wine is sourced from the estate’s Brunello vineyards and is aged in barrel for 24 months.
