Description
Considered the Grand Vin of Graetz’s range, Colore is created from Sangiovese vines over 70-years-old with, depending on the vintage, tiny proportions of Colorino and Canaiolo added if necessary. Poor soils mixed with sand and stone and high altitude create the perfect terroir for a wine that tells a lot about Tuscany and its ancient taste. Only the best few barrels of the whole production will become Colore. On average, only 1,800 bottles are made each year, with only the best few barrels of the whole production used for Colore. The 2020 vintage was awarded 98 points from Jane Anson who stated that it was “a reliably brilliant Colore, full of life, generosity and pleasure”, with James Suckling proclaiming it, “gives you every indication of a terrific wine”.
