Description
To Château Corbin’s owner François Despagne, he is a firm believer that the true making of wine occurs in the vineyard, not the winery. Located in the North-West of Saint-Émilion, on the Pomerol border, Corbin benefits from two types of soil: one formed of clay that is laced with iron, the other which draws on the richness of Pomerol. In turn, Corbin have created an abundant and complex wine that thrives due to its unique terroir. Comprising a rich blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it has earned the accolade of Grand Cru Classé. The result is an elegant wine that is both dominant yet delicate and retains both a freshness and abundant fruitiness that is formed from the utmost respect for the landscape that has cultivated it.
