Description
Created in 1994 as a tribute to the founders of the winery, the Real de Asúa brothers, this is the first release to use grapes from a single plot in the village of Villalba called Carromaza. The sandy, south-facing slopes are situated in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria, protecting them from the Atlantic winds. This is fairly savoury compared to many Rioja wines, fragrant with waves of raspberry leaf, rose petal, freshly cut herbs, liqourice bud, leather, clove spices and a mouth watering finish.
