This combines red-berry perfume with some earthy power. Pretty concentrated and complex wine for the appellation, the rather polished tannins giving it nice textural complexity. Long and generous, but cool and slightly salty finish. Drink nor hold.

Mid crimson. This smells a little stemmy even though the fruit was apparently destemmed. Woody rather than oaky. Juicy and fresh with a touch of spice on the finish. (JH)
