Sweet ripe berry fruits on the nose, depth of flavour, precision and clarity that last from the first to the last moment of this wine. Clear cocoa bean, espresso, chocolate, but also concentrated bilberry, blackberry and raspberry. The tannins are slate-strewn, textured, adding persistency and mouthwatering salinity to the palate. This is a brilliant Figeac, and ones that lovers of this wine should absolutely not miss. Harvest September 21 to October 15, 100% new oak for ageing.

Exceptionally good quality and developing as expected. Its in a closed-down phase right now, which brings my score down a fraction, but I fully expect it to justify the 100 points I gave when tasting just after bottling. Its fleshy and velvety with menthol notes and an emphasis on the florality of the Cabernet Franc. After a few minutes in the glass the tannins start to relax and you see the cassis, caramel, slate, pencil lead and black chocolate notes underneath. I would give this another three or four years before it really starts to sing. This was Romain Jean-Pierres first vintage as technical director and it was a dry year. Conditions were hot early in the season with fresher temperatures during ripening, giving an even harvest with well balanced wines. Made with 100% new oak.

Storage charges will apply if you choose to store your wines with us. Duty and VAT will be applied if you choose to have your wines delivered to a UK address. If you live outside of mainland UK additional delivery charges will occur.
