Description
The second wine of Château Nénin, the Fugue de Nénin is not one to be overlooked. Its unique terroir is abundant with sandy clay soils, which aids the cultivation of young vines. 22 hectares of this 32-hectare estate are dedicated to the growing of its second wine. The vineyard comprises Merlot (c.76%), Cabernet Franc (c.23%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (c.1%). Taking its essence from the definition of a fugue – the repetition of the main theme – Château Nénin is a fresh spin on their first wine. The Fugue de Nénin comprises a Merlot dominant blend, resulting in a rounded, silky wine with aromas of juicy ripe red and black berries.
