Description
G.D. Vajra is an estate in the Barolo district of Piedmont. It is known for the consistently high quality of its range, and in particular its red wines made from Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera. These are praised for their elegance and finesse, and are often described as being somewhat Burgundian in style.
Barolo Ravera is produced with grapes from the historical cru in Novello, a guarantee of fine aromas, sapid flavor and great complexity. The mainly calcareous soil of this old vineyard adds elegance and structure to the wine, making it ideal for ageing. Only a few great wines possess its capacity to develop successfully in the course of time.
