Wonderful concentration on the nose: fragrance, dry herbs, dry cassis, all the Cabernet-Pauillac fruit with an added depth. Very good richness of fruit and a very good future.

The 2010 Grand-Puy-Lacoste is medium to deep garnet in color. It storms out of the glass with notions of creme de cassis, plum pudding, and mocha, plus suggestions of sandalwood and unsmoked cigars. The medium-bodied palate has a rock-solid structure of chewy tannins and plenty of freshness to support the muscular, evolved fruit, finishing on a mineral note.
