Description
With a unique and rich history, Grand-Puy-Lacoste is one of the oldest estates in the Medoc. Classified as a Fifth Growth back in 1855, nowadays the château often matches the scores of Second Growth properties. This stunning Pauillac estate is comprised of 90-hectares of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon alongside some Merlot. Planted on very deep gravel soils with a little clay, the nutrient poor rocks provide an ideal level of stress for the vine which keep yields tight and produce hugely flavourful berries. The estate is known for its quintessential full-bodied style, with impressive tannins, cedar, truffles, and dark forest fruits.
