Description
Domaine Gros Frère & Sœur is a Burgundy producer that’s still managing to fly just under the radar, yet consistently produces some of the region’s best examples of Pinot Noir, Domaine Gros Frère & Sœur. The Domaine has some enviable plots, owning 20 hectares of vines across eight appellations – most notably within the Grand Cru vineyards of Chambolle-Musigny, Flagey-Echézeaux and Vosne Romanée. Bernard Gros stepped down a few years ago handing over the reins to his son Vincent, who now oversees all aspects of the winemaking. The top wines now receive around 50% new oak from the very finest quality barriques, radically reducing the oak influence his father gave to his wines, a change which is allowing the bright fruit shine through.
