Description
With nearly 235 hectares of vineyard, Inglenook represents a huge estate that has been crafting beautiful wines for over a decade. Reflecting the diversity of Napa Valley, its terroir is complex, comprising a mixture of loamy, well-drained soils at its rear, and finer soils at its front.
1978 saw the first ever vintage of Rubicon. A Bordeaux-style blend, the owners Francis and Eleanor Coppola enlisted the help of Philippe Bascaules from Château Margaux, to aid the creation of this spectacular wine.
A delicate, refined and balanced wine, Rubicon is the perfect emblem of Napa’s mixed terroirs, displaying the mixture of warm and earthy flavours that are typical of Rutherford.
