CRITIC REVIEWS
Jancis Robinson
Squidged cork. Deep coppery gold, very slightly paler and lighter on the nose than the Krug 2000. Composed and neat but a little bit shy on the nose. Started to open out into some mushroom quality after time in the glass. Fresh and ferny initially. Zesty and medium intensity. Dry and chalky finish. Super neat but not showy at all. Dry with a whiff of cigar. Slightly sudden finish. Rather loose. I thought it Grande Cuvée... This was so unlike our memories of 2002 that we went on to taste two more bottles of 2002 at the end of this blind tasting of Krug vintages back to 1988!
