Description
Paul Jaboulet Aine is one of the most iconic names in the world of wine. Grown on the hillside of Hermitage, the La Chapelle wine of Jaboulet is named for a tiny chapel built by the knight Gaspard de Stérimberg in 1235 and the vines he planted there after his return from the Crusades. Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet (Paul was one of his sons), it was Paul’s son, Louis, and grandson, Gérard, who can be heralded among the great ambassadors for the both the region and the négociant. In 2006, the Freys took over Paul Jaboulet Aine, making the domaine really thrive.
