Château Lafite Rothschild is a winery in the Pauillac appellation of the Bordeaux region. It is classified as one of the five Premier Grand Cru Classé. Lafite Rothschild is the most famous wine of the Bordeaux region and commands the highest average price. It has always received a price premium over its Premier Cru Classé peers due to its high demand from Asia. The estate is owned by the Rothschild family. The vineyard is one of the largest in the Médoc at 107 acres and producing around 35,000 cases annually.
