Description
Paul Jaboulet Aine is one of the most iconic names in the world of wine. Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet (Paul was one of his sons), it was Paul’s son, Louis, and grandson, Gérard, who can be heralded among the great ambassadors for the both the region and the négociant. In 2006, the Freys took over Paul Jaboulet Aine. Their head winemaker, Caroline Frey, shifted the estate towards sustainable farming, which saw them achieve organic status in 2016.
75% of the blend is typically aged in concrete eggs, with the rest in French oak, which contributes to both its freshness and complexity. A typical blend of this Hermitage Blanc includes Marsanne and Rousanne, culminating in a luxurious and textured white complete with flavours of stone fruits, jasmine and piquant minerality.
