Description

Petit Mouton is the Second vin of Mouton Rothschild Chateau. Château Mouton-Rothschild is a winery in the Pauillac appelation of the Bordeaux region. It is classified as one of the five Premier Grand Cru Classé (as the only one since 1855 having moved from 2ème to 1er Grand Cru Classé). The estate is owned by the Rothschild family. The estate has 222 acres of grape vines made up of Cabernet Sauvignon (81%), Merlot (15%), Cabernet Franc (3%), and Petit Verdot (1%). The estate is known for employing a different artist every year since 1945 to design the label on the bottle.
