Description
This Antinori family’s historic label, since the 2011 vintage Marchese Antinori has been produced with grapes exclusively from the Tignanello vineyard. It’s made almost entirely with Sangiovese with a small percentage of other complementary varieties. A wine that fully expresses the quality and elegance of Sangiovese grapes grown in this area.
Handpicked from the estate’s calcerous-rich vineyards, the wine is then aged in oak for 12 months, and once again in bottle for a further 12 months ahead of release. The end result is a full-bodied wine that is brimming with flavours and aromas of cherry, juicy red fruit, warm vanilla and spices. With fine yet firm tannins and a smooth, persistent finish, this is a beautiful wine that can be both enjoyed early and cellared for years to come.
Created by one of the most famous winemaking families in the word, Antinori have been at the helm of Tuscan viticulture for over six centuries. Today they continue to uphold their reputation through the creation of a broad yet stunning portfolio of wines.
