The second wine from Figeac, the 2017 Petit-Figeac checks in as a blend of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, which includes a small amount of second-generation grapes and was brought up in 30% new French oak. Its a juicy, lively wine with plenty of plum and black cherry fruit, notes of cedary herbs and earth, medium body, good acidity, and a clean finish.

A little lean and fresh with dried herbs and blackberries. Medium body. Chewy and tight. Iodine. Drink after 2020.
