The history of the Marqués de Murrieta winery is linked to the history of Rioja wine. The founder of the winery, Marqués de Murrieta, imported production techniques from Bordeaux to Spain. Located in the heart of La Rioja, the estate is home to the Château d’Ygay, the headquarters of the Marqués de Murrieta winery. The castle is surrounded by 300 hectares of vineyards.
