Description
This Reisling is very round, creamy, oaky and easy to drink. It has minerality with both dry and sweetness. On the nose, we can find sweet green apple scents. Nestled on a hillside near the village of Epfig, the Fronholz vineyard is known for producing craggy, mineral-driven Rieslings with bracing acidity. Domaine Ostertag is a wine estate that spans approximately 15 hectares (37 acres) of Alsatian countryside, including a small parcel in the renowned Muenchberg Grand Cru vineyard. The Ostertag family founded the domaine in 1966. André Ostertag has modernized the winery since taking over, introducing biodynamic farming in 1998 and aging the domaine’s Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc wines in oak barrels.
