Description
Tobaldo Rivella belongs to a generation of wine makers. He started bottling wine for himself in 1967, from the vineyards inherited from his father, and since then he has been making about 10,000 bottles per year, between Barbaresco and Dolcetto. He hasn’t changed and he didn’t want to change anything. He kept the same ideal of the wine as it has been for generations. He supports a natural viticulture, which respects time and tradition without allowing modernity and speed to take over.
The Barbaresco Montestefano is a great wine from Piedmont, with a beautiful dark colour. On the nose, it’s intense and very complex with the typical smells of Nebbiolo: red fruits, spices, violet, tobacco and leather.
