Description
Castello di Neive and its 150 acre estate are owned by the Stupino brothers and sisters and is located in Neive region in Italy.
The Santo Stefano is the result of an ethereal combination of the ideal terroir with the perfectly adapted Nebbiolo grape variety. This wine shows all the characteristic elegance of Barbaresco with the complexity and richness for which Santo Stefano is known. The Nebbiolo grapes for this wine are grown in the Albesani sub-appellation within Barbaresco, in the unique vineyard of Santo Stefano, which belongs entirely to Castello di Neive and is considered the best vineyard in Barbaresco. Deep garnet in colour, the intoxicating aromas of purple fruits and wild flowers are underlined by notes of cherries, roses and cooking spices. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with a long spicy finish.
