South Africa’s flagship dessert wine is all about precision – 20 batches of Muscat de Frontignan were picked over two months, with the wine ageing for three years in a mix of new oak and acacia barrels, plus large foudres. The result dances with energy, delivering notes of mint, lemon curd and green apple jelly.

Lustrous mid gold. Dried apricot, orange blossom and citrus peels on the nose, suffused with nutmeg, clove and coffee cream, and an earthy, spicy, saffron-like note. Richly sweet and unctuously textured, but with a streak of acidity that balances beautifully, and gives a preserved grapefruit and lemon flavour. Fantastic length. (TJ)

Cru Wine stores all its wines in-bond with LCB Eton Park. Wines purchased to be stored In-Bond (IB) or En Primeur are not available for immediate delivery. Storage charges will apply if you choose to store your wines with us. Duty and VAT will be applied if you choose to have your wines delivered to a UK address. If you live outside of mainland UK additional delivery charges will occur.
