Domaine de Montille, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru, Le Cailleret 2019
Vintage: 2019
Bottle size: 6x75cl
Tax status: EN-PRIMEUR
Chateau description: The origins of the Domaine can be traced back to 1730, but it was in the 1940s that their ascendency into making world class wine began under the stewardship of Hubert de Montille. His son Etienne took over the reigns in the 1990s and it was under his management that the Domaine really took off, with a combination of shrewd vineyard purchases across the Côte d’Or. On tasting through the range, Neal Martin was very impressed with the 1er Crus, stating: 'There are some real Premier Cru gems to look out for'. Possessing the typical de Montille style of balance and elegance over power and extraction, these are certainly worth adding to your collection.
