The NV Brut Classic (Lot LB117D00417 16 is based on vintage 2013 and includes 32% reserve wines) has a clear but rather simple bouquet that shows green walnut, salty licorice and ripe pear aromas. Fruity, quite sweet and round on the palate, with vineyard peach flavors, this is a mouthful of fruity yet rather loud Champagne. The Brut Classic blends 28% Chardonnay with 42% Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier and was aged on the lees in bottle for 30 months. My sample was disgorged on January 4, 2017, with a dosage of ten grams per liter.

Very attractive nose of lemon blossom, tarte au citron and lemon curd. Very elegant and delicate with an inner strength that doesnt make this at all loud. I love the interplay of the fine mousse and citrusy fruit on the medium-bodied palate. Long finish with subtle spicy notes. 39% chardonnay, 31% pinot noir and 30% pinot meunier. Based on the 2019 vintage with 53% reserve wine. Drink now.
