Description
Blended from 11 different parcels distributed across five villages and totalling 21.5 hectares, Matallana is a true reflection of the diversity and richness of Riberia de Duero. Created by esteemed Riojan winemaker Telmo Rodriguez, he has used this beautiful wine to expose some of the more forgotten terroirs of Ribeira.
The vineyards include the grape varieties of Tinto Fino, Navarro, Valenciano and Albillo and sit on varied beds of clay, red feldspar and petrocalcic soils.
