Description
Château Phélan Ségur is a 70-hectare wine-growing estate located in Saint-Estèphe, in the vineyards of Bordeaux. Ideally situated alongside the Gironde River, the vines belonging to Phélan-Ségur have been around since the early 19th century when Irishman Bernard O’Phelan set his sights on the left bank parcel. Today, owned by Belgian gentlemen Philippe Van de Vyvere, a member of the third family at the helm of the Saint Estèphe estate, the vineyard grows on prime gravelly alluvial soils, which allow excellent drainage and result in dense concentration within the berries.
