CHÂTEAU LA MISSION HAUT BRION

With a staggering total of eight perfectly scored vintages in the Wine Advocate, La Mission Haut-Brion is one of the most decorated Châteaux in all of Bordeaux (only Petrus and Haut-Brion have more 100 point vintages). The 29 hectares that make up La Mission Haut-Brion are located on elevated terrain, only a few miles outside of Bordeaux’s city centre and sit directly opposite their illustrious First Growth neighbour. Whilst nearly 25 of the 29 hectares are dedicated to the red grape varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the remaining 4 hectares are devoted to the white varieties Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Robert Parker was famously a big fan of the estate, which many consider to be a first growth in all but name, admitting “In my personal collection, I have more bottles of La Mission Haut-Brion than any other wine in the world. La Mission has been one of the best wines for a long time, and one of the most constant in terms of quality.”
