CRITIC REVIEWS
Panos Kakaviatos
The wine shows tension and freshness typical of the vintage, but late picking – harvested between 5-19 October – and heavy-handed winemaking trumps the vintage. The high alcohol (just over 15%) reflects some heat. Despite the acidity, raisin and overripe fruit come to the fore as do touches of caramel, derived from 80% new oak ageing. Even if the palate has density, the quality slightly disappoints for the vintage.

Wonderful aromas of black truffles and berries with hints of wet earth. Full body, with velvety tannins and a rich and chewy finish. Yet the fruit and acidity balance this muscular wine. Try in 2018.
