Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Some freshness on the nose. Well-mannered and 21st-century but not compelling. Some leathery tannin on the end. Needs time! But quite promising.

Deepest crimson. Dark, ripe and finely perfumed cassis and just a touch of oak sweetness on the nose. Lively fruit supported by light, chalky tannins. Definitely slimmer on the palate than many wines in this vintage but thus with greater elegance and refreshment. Chewy tannins but not in the least tough. Needs time but I like the restraint here.
