Description
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, through 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this business with innovative and sometimes courageous choices but always maintaining unchanged respect for traditions and the territory. Every vintage, every terroir, every idea is a new beginning, a new search for increasingly higher quality. Castello della Sala is located in Umbria, a short distance from the border with Tuscany, about 18 kilometers from the historic city of Orvieto. The 200 hectares of vineyards, cultivated with traditional varieties such as Procanico and Grechetto, but also with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sèmillon, Pinot Blanc, Viognier and a small amount of Traminer and Riesling, are located at an altitude of 220 – 470 meters sea ​​level.
Bramito comes from the vineyards of the ancient castle of Castello della Sala. A variety, the Chardonnay, which finds in this particular terroir, a soil deriving from fossil sediments with clay infiltrations, an expression of marked minerality and elegance.
