Managed today by Catherine Buisson and Louis Essa, the Buisson-Charles estate has been operating plots located on the fringes of Meursault for several generations, which it completes with Volnay wines and Pommard, as well as through its trading activity with Corton and Chambertin for its red wines and Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Chablis Premier Cru and Grand Cru, Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru and Corton-Charlemagne for its whites.

Historically, the Chapel in question was called Chapelle du Clos de Beze because it faced it and was therefore located on the east side of the path which goes from Gevrey to Morey (a portico even spanned the path from east to west) , it was built in 1155 and razed during the revolution from 1789 to 1792. Less sunny than Chapelle Haute (which is also placed on shallower soil), it produces fleshier, stricter wines with slightly more formed tannins.
