Elio Sandri, Barolo, Perno Riserva 2016

Cascina Disa in Monforte d’Alba at the beginning of the 15th century was a settlement of monks from the Breme Abbey, in the Pavia area, who already at the time were producing wine in the Langhe following the rules of tradition. From its fields used for Barolo, they obtain the most typical wines, the result of the serious dedication to the cultivation of the vine and the strict respect of the traditional methods of winemaking. Today Cascina Disa is a place to discover the scents of the good wines of the Langhe. Elio Sandri is a hard worker with a good dose of philosophical streak as a deep thinker and observer. His vineyards are all under the MGA Perno where you can breathe Burgundian air, above it dominates a dense wooded area that he chooses not to cultivate to preserve a microclimate and a habitat that fits in with the rest.
