Description

Chateau Haut-Bages-Liberal is a 30 hectare fifth growth estate located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Where 70 percent of the area is designated to Cabernet Sauvignon and 30 percent Merlot, where grapes are hand harvested and fermented in temperature controlled steel tanks. This is one of three Classified Growth estates that Claire Villars-Lurton and her husband Gonzague Lurton own in the Medoc. The property is situated next to the illustrious First Growth, Château Latour, and the unique limestone soils here produce very refined wines in an appellation historically known for power.
