Description
For Bordeaux lovers looking for old-school claret, look no further. It was only in 2017 that the Cazes family (the name behind Lynch-Bages) brought this Fifth-Growth Pauillac estate into their stable, and unsurprisingly, it’s come on leaps and bounds. Located in the south of Pauillac the chateau benefits from a similar climate to the Médoc with both the Gironde Estuary and Bay of Biscay acting as climate regulars, and the nearby coastal pine forests sheltering vines from both westerly winds. Its vineyards comprise Cabernet Sauvignon (c.61%), Merlot (c.36%) and Petit Verdot (c.3%). The resulting wine is both deliciously elegant and harmonious, and comprises a fine tannic structure which will see it develop brilliantly over time.
