Description
Straddling the fine line between tradition and modernity, Château La Gaffelière have created an excellent wine that is emblematic of the Saint-Émilion appellation. The château exists in a unique location on the slopes nestled between Pavie and Ausone on an ancient site that was once thought to have been a Roman estate. The 22-hectare vineyard is grown on three terroirs that comprise a limestone plateau and siliceous soil, and is planted with Merlot (c.70%) and Cabernet Franc (c.30%). The end result? A distinctive, characterful wine that is both racy and silky.
