Les Asteries takes its name from the specific type of limestone found in the Saint Emilion terroir. This specific type of limestone is incredibly dense. Les Asteries is owned by Jonathan Maltus who is is a very well-known vintner today in St. Emilion. Vinification takes place in temperature controlled, wood vats and the wine is then aged in up to 100% new, French oak barrels. Best paired with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted braised and grilled dishes.
