Mid to dark crimson. Complex, complete, well-integrated nose – different form the earlier wines. Still some tannin on the end. But revitalising, if very ripe, fruit on the palate.

Bright blueberries and mulberry define the personality of this slim beauty, its flavour notes seeming to ring longer than previous Magill Estate models, largely due to its clean, true palate line. Tannins sit in balance with a firm acid backbone to carry the more restrained fruit flavours that sing sweetly, yet with a tart finishing comment. Beguiling, but one wonders what personality it will show after time in the cellar. Released at A$150/bottle.
