Description
The wine has a great expression of fruit with notes of freshness and excellent ripeness of tannins. It is full bodied, dark fruits and mocha taste.
The single vineyard Don Melchor originates from 114 hectares at Puente Alto in the Alto Maipo Valley. At the foot of the Andes Mountains, this is the finest terroir for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile. In 1984 Eduardo Guilisasti Tagle’s vision for the vineyard compelled him to send samples of wine for eminent enologists to taste in Bordeaux. Jacques Boissenot’s enthusiasm was immediate and he has been involved in the making of every vintage since.
