Creamy, sweet, clean and tangy. This wine seemed ground-breaking in the late 1980s, when fine Chardonnays from outside Burgundy were so rare. Today it simply seems innocuous.

A full-bodied white with complex aromas of hawthorn, ripe peach, apricot, mango, lime, flint, toast and some smoke. Layered, concentrated and persistent with bright acidity and a firm, phenolic texture. Hint of vanilla. Very long and refined. Beautiful as always. Very approachable, but better from 2022.

Cru Wine stores all its wines in-bond with LCB Eton Park. Wines purchased to be stored In-Bond (IB) or En Primeur are not available for immediate delivery. Storage charges will apply if you choose to store your wines with us. Duty and VAT will be applied if you choose to have your wines delivered to a UK address. If you live outside of mainland UK additional delivery charges will occur.
