I was able to taste through multiple barrels of the 2010 God Only Knows and they all were impressive, showing cooler climate profiles with peppery, spicy, black cherry and cassis styled aromas, solid ripeness and deep, structured palates. There’s lot to love here and it will be interesting to see how this sun and heat loving variety ultimately shows from bottle in this cooler than average vintage.

Quite distinctive. Surprising, intriguing, and compelling. Flavours of just-picked and dusty cherry with hints of cola and orange-pekoe tea. Lots of flavour concentration yet feels light, even dance-y on the palate. Firm though approachable tannins, balancing acidity, and mouth-stimulating sapidity. Most approachable of the Cayuse wines tasted. One of the more distinctive wines of Walla Walla. (ECB)
