The most gorgeous depth and complexity through the palate, with touches of mineral pulsing and salinity on the finish, a ton of brambled blackberry, raspberry puree, tobacco leaf, leather and raspberry leaf fruit. 60% new oak. Brilliant wine. Owned by the Malet-Roquefort family since 1715, with Stephane Derenoncourt consultant since 2004. I love this, and it has delivered on its En Primeur promise.

60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc. Purple hue. Elegant and composed, the nose gently fragrant with dark-berry and subtle toasted oak notes. Palate juicy and refreshing, the fruit layered and appetising. Silky texture, the tannins extremely refined. Long and clean with a zesty but dry finish. Harmonious and precise. (JL)

Cru Wine stores all its wines in-bond with LCB Eton Park. Wines purchased to be stored In-Bond (IB) or En Primeur are not available for immediate delivery. Storage charges will apply if you choose to store your wines with us. Duty and VAT will be applied if you choose to have your wines delivered to a UK address. If you live outside of mainland UK additional delivery charges will occur.
