On the nose, graphite notes combine with black fruit including prunes, which highlight its solar character, but a minty and floral freshness adds aromatic lift after aeration. Similar impression on the palate with a juicy yet elegant mouthfeel that has a tightly-wound yet harmonious structure. Now at its apogee.

Brick colour. Aromatically fine but clearly evolved. Cedar notes with a leafy edge. Fruit still present but the grainy tannins do impose. Lacks a bit of precision. Holding up but probably as good as it will get. (JL)
